Deutsche Telecom Company staff cooperates with American secret services for more than 10 years. According to Focus the representatives of the company provided information to FBI from 2000.
There occurred a document in edition of Focus magazine that points the German company representatives cooperate with FBI very close from 2000. This cooperation began when German company had bought American company Voice Stream Wireless (now known as T-Mobile).
After purchasing American company Germans had to sign a special agreement with American secret services that requires the disclosure of information.
According to edition the German company leadership gave not only agreement on disclosure of information, but also took responsibilities for giving technical assistance and another support that is needed for monitoring the information.
Besides the American subdivision of German corporation took responsibilities to keep user‘s messages in case they are needed for agents of secret services. The Deutsche Telecom chairman confirmed to the German edition the fact that the agreement between German company and American secret services exists.
According to chairman the signature of such agreement is obligatory for all foreign companies that want to enter the marketing communications in US. The agreement concerns only American subdivision of German corporation. “We cooperate with the authorities as well as in GFR,” the chairman pointed out. The scandal about monitoring of Americans‘ E-mails by secret services started in June in 2013.
American newspaper The Guardian reported about wide scale operations of wiretapping that secret service conducted for many years. The articles of the newspaper were based on the data obtained from source inside the secret services.
The information about wiretapping was given by the former CIA officer Edward Snowden. After opening secret information he fled from US to Hong Kong, and then to Moscow airport Sheremetyevo. Now Snowden is in airport transit zone.
