The Korea Internet & Security Agency announced that KISA has standardized next generation biometrics technology using bio-signals such as brain waves and electrocardiogram.
Bio-signals have been promoted as a next authenticated certification as biometric information such as fingerprint, face and iris match counterfeit is tricky. KISA set up a research committee for biometrics technology standardization made up of university hospitals and industry leaders in the convergence service, telecommunications and biometrics business. The taskforce will start working on the standardization for smart convergence security services this May.
