The corporation must disclose information about the search process in connection with a leading position on the market. The German leadership requires Google to provide data on the search algorithm.
Heiko Maas, a German justice minister said that Google should provide more transparent information about the search process and its implementation due to the prevailing market position.
The Minister also reported that nowadays each company is going to use Google to promote their goods. The corporation, in turn, can use it in order to create online market without competitiveness in Europe. The situation can be changed only if Google reveals the search algorithm. The German justice minister says that thanks to this disclosure, Google will make the system even more enjoyable for users.
It should be noted that Google was accused of using the results of the search in order to make profit for many times, for example, to unleash its own products throughout Europe. However, Maas says that such incidents will be avoided if the German Government obtains the search algorithm.
Despite all statements, the requirement remains as a usual request. However Google indeed can be obliged to open this information, but for this the European Court of Justice have to accept the corresponding demand for consideration.
Nowadays the questions of information security are very topical as even search systems want to know everything about us.
