The Manufacturer Company of firearms Tracking Point demonstrated its special application for wearable devices ShotView that allows the shooter to fire from shelter, without looking up from it and getting under the bullets.
For example, Google Glass is used on the video from the Tracking Point. Shooter sees on the screen of glass a video, filmed on a camera located in the optical sight.
The system of firing allows the shooter to see not only the target more clearly and safely, but also to fire precisely.
While system recognizes and captures the target, when the gun will be induced to the desired point, it can make a shot automatically. Information transfer occurs by means of Wi-Fi. As note in Tracking Point, it allows to show the picture from a sight on any other device — both mobile phones and tablets, and wearable electronics: for example, Google Glass.
In more difficult scenario the ShotView application can "communicate" on the Internet or Bluetooth with other rifles nearby, displaying the picture not only from a sight of the owner, but also other fighters — thereby repeatedly expanding visibility area.
When the ShotView application will be available to general public, they didn't specify in the company.
Tracking Point became known in 2013 for "advanced" rifles with its own fire guidance system Precision Guided Firearm (PGF). Thanks to computer algorithms capture and image camera recognition Tracking Point allows accurate fire at a distance of 1 kilometer. Prices for goods Tracking Point start at 10 thousand dollars.
