Edward Snowden was wanted after he had exposed the information about surveillance programs made by U.S. secretive agencies all over the world. His exposure opened the question about privacy.
In U.S. where PRISM is used overall anonymity becomes a rarity. Someone accepted it, someone is angry, but everybody agrees that there is no easy way to avoid NSA curious eye.
“5 years ago, I would say that mobile phone is a small informer in your pocket and that you should get rid of it and should not carry. It doesn't matter now. There are automatic license plate readers which allow watching you. There are metro cards, road cards E-Zpass, bicycle rental systems and facial identification,” private detective Steve Rambam says.
It should be admitted that every American who uses modern technologies becomes a member in 24-hours reality show. NSA plays the role of uninvited paparazzi whom one can‘t see or hear.
Many Americans admit that technologies became part of modern life and no one can avoid it. Otherwise, one has to refuse from cell phone, car and urbanity as a whole. One can escape from NSA surveillance only if get rid of everything digital.
Experts say that encrypted search in the Internet and the change in security settings in social networks is not enough. “It is needed to use alternative identity, store it in different places. It is needed to act as a secret service agent and think if you haven`t left any traces,” private detective Steve Rambam explains.
In order to protect your privacy from Big Brother one needs to go on definite sacrifices.
At least when going to work you have to pay for subway in cash, because any person can be spied on by credit card. Moreover you must not check your E-mail and Voice-mail, because in order not to undergo NSA surveillance you will have to get rid of using mobile phone.
But the agency will know your destination as soon as you use an electronic pass in order to enter office building. Besides if you need the Internet you won’t escape from Big Brother.
